It looks as if Aisha Devi, Swiss-born Tibetan-Nepalese singer had come from a distant planet of ice, hiding her personality gently behind her inscrutable vocals, which thus have an aura even more mystical than her genre-defying music. Her neo-spiritual electronics are punctuated by arrowing synth stabs familiar from rave parties and also by her eerily beautiful throat singing. A fitting counterpart this evening will be Lyra Pramuk, best described as futuristic folk music: the Pennsylvania artist grew up singing in choirs and struggled to live up to the expectations of her hometown - in return she built up her own inner universe, fuelled by the internet age, that she can now project onto curious eardrums around the world, transporting body and soul into wondrous states of trance.
Their experimental pop music will be joined by the iron-heavy and pitch-black sounding local act FOR. (conducted by Ábris Gryllus and Miklós Farkas), this time with the eight-piece Thea Soti: VØICES choir. The sounds of the future in the present and in a building with a prestigious past - we can hardly imagine a more complete autumn celebration.
