Many people may have known Cabrio Cat from our 2020 compilation thanks to this synthesizer-intoxicated, life-positive song, but they didn't sit in a sealed cardboard box afterwards, but remained active: for example, they took us for a night drive and even turned it into a song when they were feeling really good.
Their latest track is Friends for 2 Minutes, more electronic than ever, capturing the phenomenon that often occurs at night in its title.
“We’ve all been there at some point, when our eyes locked with an unknown face and we laughed at each other, or just gave each other a pat on the back, or at most spoke two words. And it doesn’t need to be more than that – we might never see that person again,” - wrote singer Anett Dékány, who forms Cabrio Cat with Dávid Papp of Middlemist Red.
There’s also a music video for the song, and in the sequences shot half in Turbina (directed by Balázs Lippai), we get a classic Frankenstein story wrapped in a sci-fi cloak, where the monster in this case is an android, and according to its rules, it tears itself out of its shackles to discover the mysteries of human existence. But does it work?! We hope you've already looked for the answer by now.
